Comments:
Well, that was fun.
Last weekend I had toyed with seeing if I could break the 2000 Q barrier, but a
sick XYL meant unplanned/unexpected breaks from butt-in-chair time. Allowing
myself to get distracted chasing DX Sunday afternoon didn't help either.
But great conditions and great operators taking advantage of those conditions
allowed me to beat last year's Q count and score.
When the dust settled: 143 countries, and 38 zones in the log. (Never heard
zone 23, and gave up on trying to get through the pile for zone 26.)
Station:
K3, Icom IC7100
Hexbeam @ 7 meters (but effectively at ground level towards zn 26)
40m delta loop
80m Carolina Windom @ 20m
160m Carolina Windom @ 12m
