Comments:
Staying at a bay area lodge this weekend I was only able to run the Kenwood
TS-450 into an MFJ apartment antenna coupled with a long HF mobile whip, with
my WQ6X Inverted Slinky antenna as a backup.
In the end, I was only able to work stations on 20m & 40m. I was amazed to not
hear any Calif. stations on 80-m from 03:00z to 04:00z. Wassup with THAT?
Operating on different bands means MORE Multipliers.
Operators need to open up their filters a bit, then SLOW DOWN and LISTEN.
Waiting for barely 1/2 second between calls is HARDLY the way to hear weaker
stations like me. So y'all cheated yourself out of a lot of QSOs by not paying
attention.
