What a washout the high bands turned out to be. And with flux at 94 even.
Managed to get within 5 Qs of last year, but down 15 mults -- mostly due to a
shortage on 15M, which was simply not in good shape here. Listened often but
never heard a peep on 10M. As AB7R commented, looking forward to Cycle 25. This
one's not working out very well.
80M offered up far fewer Qs than usual, though mults are up by 1 from last year
(still, down from what I hoped for, which was about 20 mults there).
40M offered more Qs than ever before, and 41 mults is right on par with
previous years.
20M was pretty good rate-wise (more Qs than any previous year) but mults were
down slightly.
Hope the rest of the Aurora Busters (VY2SS, VA1CHP, VE7BC and VA7KO) had more
luck than I did. The only teammate I worked was VE7BC on 80M. Heard VA7KO but
couldn't catch up to him.
Took my off-time in a two-hour stretch from 2000z to 2200z. Then had a pretty
wild lightning storm roll through around 0120z and had to take nearly another
hour. So, just 9 hours in the chair.
Great fun -- it always is. Super to see everyone again. Thanks for the
contacts!
