This was a pretty good weekend for a contest, and I had a blast! Thanks to
Dennis, W5KU, for the use of the station.
Glad to work so many of you on several bands.
10m was like 6m, with surprisingly few South Americans; no skew path but several
short path European HQ stations were found. You could tell that European
activity is high, with how hard it was to get their attention!
15m was very spotty, but still more open than in previous days -- sunspots are
fading fast. No real JA run on 15m, but long path to European HQ stations
Sunday 0300Z. 80m signals seemed down, for some reason.
Great 20m runs to Europe and fair to Japan. 40m was excellent, but I neglected
it while I spent too much time on 80m trying out the new wire beam.
The south Texas QRN was pretty bad for a while in the afternoon as storms heated
up all around, but only had about an hour of rain static (20Z). Not as bad as
last year, when it was awful for nearly the whole contest.
