Comments:

We had a good time in this contest, with no major equipment or computer
failures. All 8 of our operators got in some solid time CQing, which made the
contest more fun for everyone! We were pleased to have KT6YL and KG6D visit and
operate. We only recorded 3 of our voices for the Writelog DVK, so some of you
might have heard a different voice CQing than the one giving the exchange!

I was amazed at how much trouble people had with the name Stan! It seemed like
we had to give hundreds of repeats. Also, many people would not ask for a
repeat, but say, "Thanks Dan," prompting us to go through a round of name
corrections. KT6YL (aka: ON4CAT, a great YL contest operator) had a difficult
time convincing stations to copy "Stan." She was often asked, "Was that Anne?"
or "Was that Fran?" Some of us just started to say, "Stan, Sugar Tango Alpha
November" for every QSO, yet this still did not eliminate requests for fills or
the "Thanks Dan" comments. We tried everything, including "Stan, as in Stanford
University" and "SSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTAN." I tried an experiment where I just said
"Sugar Tango Alpha November" and didn't even say "Stan." Interestingly, that
seemed to work better!

Our slowest hour was at 0Z, but our best hour was at 1Z with a great run by W6LD
on 20m.

Stations east of Colorado had a very rough time copying us on 80m because of
thunderstorms around the country, even though we could hear them quite well. We
were surprised to get 26 QSOs and 6 mults on 160m by using the 80m Inv-Vee and
running it through the tuner. We hope to construct something actually resonant
on 160m one of these days.

Kudos to Mark K6UFO for organizing our NAQP summer efforts.

Thanks to all of you for your willingness to QSY to other bands for us.
