Hi all!
Thanks for all the Q's in FD and thanks especially to the team from
Federacion Radioaficionados de Cuba. It was a great trip and a great honor to
participate in the first ever joint Cuba-US FD effort from Guanabito near
Havana. The
California team for CO0US just arrived back in the US early this morning (4
July).
We second what everyone has said about condx for FD -- in a word "terrible".
In fact, for most of us who have been doing FD for years and years, they were
some of the worst conditions that any of us remember.
Our "meat bands" were 40 and 20, with a nice opening on 15 Sunday AM, rate
meter at or near 100 on 15 CW for almost 2 hours. 6M produced a nice, but short
opening at night on Saturday, but nothing to write home about.
Since our luggage has not caught up with us yet, I have no details (logs are
in a suitcase). Nevertheless, the total number of Q's is about 4000 with about
1800 of those being on CW.
In the next few days, we'll have a more detailed posting. Man, the stories we
have to tell!!!
