Comments:

No big story this time. Nothing worth writing about.

Decided to enter JIDX to help support JA contest. Where were the JAs? Ended up
operating only 9 hours. Was prepared to do 3 times that but no one to talk to.
10 was useless until the last hour.

Had a poor start with a 28 hour and a slightly better end with a 33 hour. Best
hour otherwise was 13.

I'm used to hearing east coast stations running eu in contests but it was
really, really irritating to hear KC1XX running JAs.

Bands were noisy and conditions seemed poor. JAs were either S9 or S1, not much
in between.

Missed 10 prefectures.

One bright spot was that there was no difficulty finding a run frequency.

High point of the contest was working ZS1EL long path. It was a lot more fun
talking to him than doing endless CQing while working on my income tax.

Let's hope this isn't a foretaste of WPX.
