Comments:
I put up an inverted vee for 80 a few days before the oontest, and it seemed to
work better than loading the tower, which is what I've done previously.
However, the QRN was bad enough that the 80 meter numbers turned out to be
about the same as they always are. But I felt happier on 80 meters than I
usually do, so I guess that's worth something.
Never heard anybody else from NM. Makes me crabby.
QSOs by hour: 90-77-77-88.
TRLog says 63 band changes, 29 second radio QSOs.
Radio 1: TS850/Alpha 78 + C4SXL @ 50', C3 @ 20', Inverted vee @ 50'.
Radio 2: TS850/Dentron Clipperton L + TA33 @ 20 feet, 40 m dipole @ 15'
This is a swell contest. You can get as tired in 4 hours as it normally takes
24 hours to get. Money can't buy an experience like this!
