Started off very well despite the temperature in the shack being over 30
degrees. CQ efforts were great, my S&P needs attention. Then around 16:00
disaster struck , the TX would stick randomly. Checked Microphone - this was at
fault. Got out soldering iron & struggled to fix the fault for an hour. Went
back on , but the fault was somewhere in the cable. Managed to stay on for a
while but it got terrible & felt I was wasting other people's time as well as
my own so had to stop...
Moral - Spare Mic - Spare radio - Spare everything....
Enjoyed myself though despite the problems & thinks to all those who called in
