SOAPBOX:
IT SEEMED LIKE I WAS BEHIND MOST PEOPLE I WORKED ALL THROUGH THE CONTEST
AND THAT I WOULD NOT MAKE MY GOAL OF 10,000 POINTS, BUT I ENDED UP DOING
BETTER THAN I THOUGHT I WOULD. 20 DIDN'T LAST AS LONG AS I HOPED, BUT IT
SEEMED PRETTY
GOOD WHILE PEOPLE WERE THERE. 40 WASN'T REALLY THERE YET FOR THE WEST
COAST WHEN ACTIVITY ON 20 MOSTLY PETERED OUT. I KEPT GETTING BEAT OUT ON
40 (NO BIG SURPRISE WITH 100 WATTS TO AN INVERTED VEE) BUT I KEPT MAKING
CONTACTS. A BIG FACTOR IN
BEING LOW POWER WITH WIRES IS MISSING A LOT OF THE "CQ QSOS", THE 2ND
QSO ON THE
INHERITED FREQUENCY. TRIED A FEW CQS BUT THINK I NEED TO MOVE ON FASTER.
AS USUAL, THE SPRINT WAS A GREAT TIME FOR ME AND I LEARNED MORE ABOUT
IT.
GEE! WHAT A GREAT CONTEST!
