Just me and Vic doing the single radio/no lowband thing again, and
having lots of fun with the HQ status. I did CW and Victor did SSB.
Obviously we were not multi-multi, or even two radio M/S. Just having a
great time with one radio and our 24-hour special IARU call for Singapore's
"SARTS" - 9V9HQ.

For those that worked us on SSB, you might have noticed that Victor,
9V1BH was an especially proud sounding op this year, as he just became a
father a few days ago. I guess that means a new UA0/9V1 contester is among us!

        High-points:

        1. Absolute monster pileup of US and EU (at the same time) from
1600z-1900z on 15m. Never have I heard such a whopper. Good fun - even
when I got nasty comments from EU for standing by occasionally for NA (even
though I had all the NA zones).

        2. Breaking the P40HQ pileup on one call, each time, on every
band I heard them. That is VERY far away from here folks, and they
obviously had great ops and ears.

        Low-points

        1. "SARTS" really sucked as an exchange.

        2. Rookies who didn't understand the concept of an HQ station
(or never belived that an HQ station would actually answer their CQ) and
kept asking for my zone when I sent "599 SARTS". ugh...

         Thanks everyone.

         James, 9V1YC
