Comments:
I had great fun in this contest. It was a real challenge
on 5w qrp (from the TS930s) with the indoor G5RV in the
loft! It loads on all bands but is very poor on 160m. I had
405 qso's in 33 countries and the highest qso's rate was 39
qso's per hour. I operated for 16 of the 24 hours.
Best dx was HI3/DL1GKG/P. 10m was fairly poor again, although
there were plenty of very weak DL's and G's calling. I guess I
needed a beam.
For those interested in stats, here's a breakdown of unique
calls per country. There were 256 unique calls out of the 405
worked:
DL 75, G 42, ON 18, UA 18, HB9 17, I 14, UR 12,
PA 12, GM 7, F 6, HA 6, UA9 5, OK 4, S5 4,
LY 3, ER 2, EU 2, GW 2, K 2, T9 2, YL 2
Plus one station in 9A, CT, EI, HB0, HI, LX, LZ, OE, OH, OM,
OZ, SP and YU.
Thanks to all the stations I called who were patient enough to
listen a few times for the callsign and to those who said how
strong the qrp signals were!
