Comments:
All I can say is you CAN have fun with just a single, low, stealthy,
all-band wire antenna. Conditions to Europe were great, and my European
QSOs exceeded my JA QSOs by more than a 2:1 margin. That was a big
surprise, but certainly a pleasant one!
As for the prediction that WPX would become a "stateside QSO party" with
the new 1-point rule, only 33% of my QSOs were stateside, and these
amounted to only 13% of my total score. I'm sure that stations with real
antennas will show an even smaller percentage. I called everyone I could
hear without regard to where they were (at least 95% of my QSOs were S&P).
Goals for next year: Break 1 million mark, or move somewhere that allows
visible antennas! :-)
