Murphy struck Saturday morning, when my Mom fell, and fractured her hip
during prime time in the European opening. Of course Mom came first,
and we helped the excellent rescue people get her to the hospital.
By the time all the excitment was over I just couldn't concentrate on CW.
I did the very best possible under the circumstances, but I figure
about 100-200 Q's lost to Murphy. It was exciting to see 10 open
long path, and Sunday we had another excellent European opening. The
equipment and antennas all worked well, thank goodness! Thank you
to all the Op's who worked me! Everyone sounded great. KC1XX had one
wicked backscatter signal, I could almost hear him with the radio off!
