Comments: Took a trip to my friend Jerry's shack to try SS with
a Tri-bander, 40m rotatable dipole and 80 meter dipole. His
         antennas
offer a real nice alternative to my G5RV and the subsequent
         effort proved their worth.
As you can see by the score, 20m and 80m never gave in to my
efforts at establishing anything. Most of those Qs were from
S & P. Thank goodness for the west coast and 15m. Point the
beam west and call CQ and...there they are. Thanks to all the
west coast ops who are resposnible for the Q total I amassed.
40m was an on and off affair. On the few occasions I could
find a freqency, the runs were usually phenomenal. However,
the frequency would soon be overrun by huge high power signals
and the run would end. Thanks to those who were my last Qs in
those runs. Sticking through the QRM proved to be a lengthy
process at times. I don't think anyone purposefully stole my
frequency. I feel that they truly, did not hear me. And with
the wall to wall activity, any seemingly open space was fair
         game.
         One final note. I enjoyed a moment on 80m. I found a
clear spot and started calling CQ. Immediately, jammers came
on in and ran tones that, at times, hit +60db on my s-meter.
         Not worrying
about a sweep (I got that early on), I proceeded to call CQ for
several minutes. Even managed a QSO with a gentleman from IL.
I did this, not for the contacts, but to see how long they would
keep their rigs keyed down. They stayed that way for about 10
minutes or so and then I left. My only hope is that this caused
some damage to their rigs and amps. I'm sure it didn't help
their stuff. Hi Hi. Thanks to KL7HF for the sweep. Sounds like
he had a heck of a task pulling any calls out of that mess.
Thanks also to Ken for his trip to J.'s place. 73

I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations for
amateur radio in my country. My report is correct and true to the
best of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of the
     ARRL Awards Committee.
