M7A is the contest callsign of De Montford University. QSL via G4ZFE.
The station was set up field-day style near Leicester in the Midlands.
This was the first contest from the location and will not be the last as
the site is superb (lots of room for antennas!). According to the solar
forecast conditions were going to be average for the IARU contest but
activity and conditions seemed superb here!
IARU is a super contest - sensible start time for Europeans (unlike CQ
WW + WPX!) and only 24 hours long. The contest is also in summer time
which means that we didn't get as wet as normal (still had a torrential
downpour Saturday night and Sunday morning).
Everyone enjoyed themselves and I particularily enjoyed the W6/W7
opening on 20m at 0100 UTC. Thanks for the QSOs and see you next year
(as M8A).

M7A will next be on the air in the IOTA (26/27 July) contest from Scilly
Isles (EU-011) - single op (G4ZFE), CW only, 100W + HF6v. Hope to work
you then!
