First semi-serious attempt from Carpinteria foothills <near Santa Barbara>, had a good time. 220 X 45 = 9900. FT990, Alpha 76PA (500w), Force 12 C4, dipole @ 48', TR 5.61. NCCC #1 Local SCCC Sprint'ers AC6T, N6VR, N8SR kept me hopping. Bands were typically weird, 20 stayed in longer than I expected, 40 was just so-so, and 80 was incredible. East coast on 80 amazed me. Thanks to Trey for operating on no sleep. Thanks to Tree for TR. 73, Steve N4TQO merchant@silcom.com <new id, use now> |
