In my post about the Ameco PT3, I received a few responses. Most of the comments about it were negative. OK, so much for the negative. Any preamps that are especially good for 160 and 80 and maybe 40

If your preamp has poor IMD performance it is imperative that a good high pass filter is included to ensure MW BC stations cannot get to it. Better still a passband filter for the desired band, howev

My experience with preamps has been that they amplify the background noise just about as much as the signal. Unless your receiver lacks front-end gain, they are pretty much useless. The exception mig
