Has anybody tried a K9AY loop over elevated radials? If so were there any improvements, such as better f/b or more signal? Thanks Paul _______________________________________________ Topband mailing

-- Paul, First, the physics of the antenna limit the F/B to one null and establish the efficiency (signal level). Radials are usually considered in unusual installations or when the ground conductiv

Thanks for the advice. I've your 2 loop design in use for about a month now and it works well. Its just a foot or so above ground, but not very good ground. I'm very impressed with your means for pas

I'm in the process of putting up a K9AY loop, using the Array Solutions/Wolf RF control boxes.  I had the antenna up last year but it didn't seem to work very well, and I'm looking for suggestions.

Hello Pete, Gary - K9AY is a "local". I've spoken with him in person about this same issue that I experienced at my QTH. The loop geometry is not real critical but a good ground is extremely importan

Hi Pete, I have a PILE of experience with K9AY loops, but I don't use them in the usual "one-support-two-loops-four-directions" configuration.  Mine are all individual loops on individual supports de

You can check the electrical operation of the relays on my page here in the FAQ. http://wolfrfsystems.com/ Mark makes a good point. A loop that is too close to the transmitting antenna can absorb eno
