- I don't think you would have noise from the line except if there is a fault that is causing arcing at an insulator. I'd hate to live near the end points where the AC to D and Dc to Ac conversions are

- Gents: The shock one would get under such circumstances was one of the reasons that early studies into the effects of HV AC lines were flawed. I believe even Brodeur's work cited this erroneous work.
