This is the CQWW 160M Contest, not the ARRL Sweepstakes. The CQWW contests (both 160M and HF) are not generally exchange orientated, because they are callsign orientated. All you need for DX QSOs is

The CQ World Wide 160 Meter DX Caontest. I would say it should be what the amateur community wants it to be. Of course hams will compete in any contest just to work some new countries, bust pileups,

I agree with Richard. I think that if the DX station has logged your call sign at the same relative time as you claim a qso with him, then enough information has been exchanged to constitute a valid
