I have been told about the Timewave Antenna Noise Canceller ANC-4 to be a good device to reduce or cancel power line noises, etc... I would like to hear from people using this device specially on 160

Josep: It may be informative to look at one of my web pages that has several links to experiments I performed using an MFJ-1026. I believe the ANC-4 is similar though not identical to the 1026. You w

The biggest con is that it is a NASTY key click generator. Problem is in the detection circuit that samples transmitted RF to control switching from transmit to receive. I learned the hard way -- goo

I have both. I use the MFJ 1026. It has individual RF gain controls for both the signal channel and the noise channel. The ANC-4 has a "Gain Control" for the nose channel only. With individual gain c

I have recently had great success with the DX Engineering Noise Canceling Controller (NCC-1). For years we used the MFJ 1025 which worked very well. I was able to more consistently peak signals (incr

One not too secret secret is to place the noise canceler inline with the receiver output/input jacks (if has them), instead of inline with the antenna in/out fitting on the radio...connect the receiv

I have two selectable low-gain noise sense antennas feeding my MFJ-1026. Each are 10M dipoles, but could be any length, one vertical/one horizontal, to match the polarization of whatever noise sourc
