Okay, more dumb questions! I've got my 400' inverted-V doublet, fed with 600 ohm open wire line, up and in the clear. Everything appears to be working FB. I get good signal reports all around the USA

Barry, It's generally a mistake to get into the habit of looking for DX only at gray line. Many times the strongest signals are not at either sunrise or sunset, but someplace between those times. Als
