My 1986 222 mhz SSB meteor scatter contact with KF0M (NC to KS) was much "harder" and "cooler" than any HF contact I have ever made. It was also a sked prearranged by the landline several days ahead.

Really? I never claimed an announcement will make or be the contact. Just as calling CQ on the radio is not a contact. What is a CQ? CQ is a solicitation for a contact. What are you going to post on
