If I remember correctly, the manual says drive it to 500 ma.  That is it.  I've seen guys drive it to 600 ma in SSB mode (higher plate voltage).  As everyone said here....it really was not designed t

Most of the restrictions on plate current mentioned in the SB-220 manual 500 mills (recommended) was there for purposes of "legal limit power" NOT because of tube limitations.? The amp can be loaded

The manual on page 72 states .5 Amps, 2000V, and Ig of 100-200mA. This is with the SSB/CW switch is in the CW position (lower plate voltage) resulting in 1000W INPUT, the legal limit at the time the
