Sounds pretty simple to me. 0.025wl = 13 feet and if your radial field is 1/4 wl then it would take 65 radials 135 feet long and at the far end they would be a max. of 13 feet apart. John k9uwa John

I didn't notice it at first on my IC-765 ...but then I was always using the radio on 160 meters....as soon as it was put up on 10 meters....the noticably reduced gain of the radio was apparent......

Question then as to why in AO-6 program that a vertical exibits lower take off angle as well as greater gain using 81,5000 Salt Water vs 80,1 for fresh water?.....It is a Nec2 based program I believe
