I've had similar problems - my Acom 2000A would shut down on an Arc fault on 160 when I had the receive antenna (K7TJR 4 Sq) pointed towards the xmit antenna (100' vertical inv-L) that is about 300'

Hello Bob, When Ive modeled a 160 vertical interior to an 80M 4 sq I find the vertical interacts terribly with the 4 sq. The tower would need to be broken up in to 3 sections ... not a simple task...

thats a pretty general statement! I had a 90 high inverted L with the bend supported by a tower it was only about 50 from a 143 tower ... it had ~30 100 radials under it ... and I managed to work 100

JC, Totally agree! I have a HiZ 8 element (60' side for the 2X 4 element) receive antenna ... when I model it there is BIG time interaction ... I can move the 160 meter 'T' (what I'll be using here)
