Ken, The earlier series of units will have relatively low serial number suffixes - typically less than 20,000 so that the digit following the letter which indicates the month of manufacture will be a

I know this may not be the exact answer to your question, but... I bought my 736R new in 1995 if your serial number is higher than mine, it's a 90's, lower 80's. Serial number 5C910017 was purchased
