- Anyone have experience getting an electret mic working w/a 990? The mic needs a voltage across its leads to work, but there isn't one on the 990's mic pinout. Even if I supply 1.5v isolated from the

- Brian, I used an electret mike with the Yaesu FT-1000 for years and got outstanding reports. I used the little Radio Shack unit that sells for $2.99. As the FT-1000, like the FT-990, does not supply
