I too have a problem 8800 that drops out and am left with only a flashing display. I am a Tech. but unfortunately do not have a sig. gen. now (Retired),but do have the Service Manual. Mine sometimes

Dial lamps missing. I have found a good answer to this problem Some time ago I saw an article on a Google site about it and decided to replace my incandescents with leds as it suggested. Having used
