Fellow 990 owners... You can buy the TCXO-2 for $30 + shipping and install it yourself...Per John Lynn of Yaesu, call 562/404-2700. This only is for 990's, all others have different numbers,i.e. TCXO

Bill, The TEMPERATURE COMPENSATED CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR (TCXO) will help in the stability of the rig but my 990 is pretty darn stable as is.....but for $30 I'd do !! It just make's the rig that much bet
