Well, according to the release notes for 10.45 from this past Monday: Whats new in 10.45.. == * Add %O (RIT clear), %L (log the QSO), and %W (wipe the Entry Window) commands to CW/RTTY/SSB messages.

If I understand you correctly, that's essentially what the "+" key does. It sends your QRZ message and enters the Q in the log. Yes, you have to press the + key, but that's no more work than pressing
