This drives me nuts too. I'm constantly re-checking the AFC box. I hope it's not a "feature" that it turns off. What I've noticed is that it turns off if you click on ANYTHING that's not highlighted.

I can confirm that this does happen. But it happens for a reason. If you have the AFC box checked and a station calls you, the AFC will center itself on that signal. When you click on that callsign,
