Anyone out there using a K3 with WL...a friend brought one over for the CQP I have a serial cable from the K3 to one of my existing contest computers in my shack and the computer does not see the K3

Nothing abnormal about the K3 serial port. Use three wires 2-2, 3-3, and 5-5 ... no handshaking. Make sure Writelog is not trying to implement hardware handshake ... since the K3 does not assert DSR

thanks guys ,...the right hint was the baud rate..I had it on auto..it needs to be 38.4...everything is working now..thanks to N6XI who called me on the phone ...again tnx to all ... Mike Reagan NI7T

Jerry, I have been working with my K3 and Writelog. Have your friend start to communicate with me. I have had some success, while at other times, not. So far I have been working with both a Vista 32
