- Disregard. I figure out if you disconnect the mic and start the recorder for a second...it records NOTHING. Then just name it space.wav Duh! Let you guess where the 'empty space' is.

- If you need to edit a .wav file (to remove extraneous sounds for example), there is a program called GoldWave which lets you see the file displayed graphically and you can edit it however you want. C

- I also use this program and highly recommend it. I was satisfied enough to register it but you can use it quite extensively as freeware too, and they say so. It was at least 50 times faster and 1000
