Any FT847 users, I swiped my FT847 from my Oscar station to use as a second radio for the Roundup. Writelog controls it nicely, I get frequency readout of where I am tuning and the tuning rate is nic

The FT847 does not have a dedicated RTTY mode, so you have to use it in the SSB mode. I have both the optional SSB narrow filter (maybe 2.0 KHz- I forget) and the CW narrow filter as well, but there

But you can use the LSB mode when in CW :-) Press the CW mode key and it toggles on the LSB mode which does a frequency shift. Caveat: I haven't tried this with RTTY yet, mainly because I can't seem

Richard, Yes, But Writelog very well tracks what mode the RX is in and switches to CW when you switch the RX VFO to CW-LSB. So yes, you could get the CW narrow filter active but Writelog would not be

Richard, Not sure why this message got reposted. But as I said in response to the last posting (8jan02) Yes, you can manually put the FT847 into CW LSB mode and use the Narrow CW filter. BUT the FT84
