Hi Barry. I am wondering how you are set up. I was keying by LPT on my old computer running 98se just fine. I built me a new computer running XP and the bios set up gives 3 options for the LPT port,

Greg, XP cannot access the port directly. Download and install USERPORT and it will work fine. I went through this process with a new machine running XP Home. 73 de Tom, K4NR old for anything.

This is a standard problem when using comm port keying. I don't know of any way to prevent it. It gets really exciting when the amplifier is on, tuned to the wrong band on the wrong antenna! After a

This is merely the way Windows boots up. You'll also find that RTS goes high twice during boot. Wait until it bootsup toturn on the radio, although with 98SE, thekey is a fraction of a second. 73 Ed
