Hello Got my new radio today, plugged in the serial cable and tried the Ftdx-9000 and the FT-2000 setting but neither work. Anyone have a 5000 who can help me get it to work? My writelog version 10.7

Are you using CW/PTT on the CAT port (DTR/RTS)? FT-2000/5000/9000 expect RTS/CTS handshake ... you need at least five wires in the serial cable (2-2, 3-3, 5-5, 7-7, 8-8). Make sure your cable support

Thank you Joe but I dont get it working. I have a full serial cable. A regulad DB9 serial cable, not a null-modem. Tried setting the CAT TOT to 1000 and also 3000. Have it set on serial port 1. CW is

I would "hard set" the Baud to a known speed (9600, 19200, etc.) on both ends of the serial line. I know auto-baud detection does not always work properly on Icom radios. 73 de Bob - KØRC in MN _____

Thank you Bob This solved the problem. As long as I hard set the baud rate the same both in WL and the rig I can use any baud rate. Current setting CAT BPS 38400 CAT TOT 10ms RTS Enable 73 and thank
