1. [WriteLog] Serial Numbers (score: 1)
Author: kelly@thejohnsons.ws (N6KJ)

The Writelog documentation says that if you set up a macro to do "%3" then it will send a serial number with "T" in place of leading 0's (ie. Serial Number 1 would be sent as TT1, not 001 or just 1).

Now that SS is over with and my hand is sore from not using Writelog to generate CW for me, I have a question. It seems simple enough to connect Writelog (using a COM port) to my FT-817's keyer input

Can someone tell me why I can't seem to save the CW port configuration? I am using COM1 for rig control and COM2 for CW keying. Every time I start up Writelog I have to go back into the port setup me

I don't think I saved the configuration. I noticed that other things were saved "automatically" and didn't realize these things didn't. Thanks for the help. I'll try it when I get home. I feel a litt

Author: "N6KJ" <kelly@thejohnsons.ws>

Until today I have always done rig control on COM1 and CW keying on COM2. Because I need another serial port I decided to build a DB9 splitter so I can do rig control and CW keying on the same port.

Make sure you have checked the "PC generates CW" menu item inside the port menu. I believe _______________________________________________ WriteLog mailing list WriteLog@contesting.com http://lists.c

The patch is for ME. I am using Windows XP. The description of the ME "bug" doesn't sound the same as my issue. As I said before, this only happens when rig control and CW are on the same port. I don

I don't believe there is anything wrong with my "Y" cable. Why? Because: 1) Rig Control Alone works with this cable 2) CW keying alone works with this cable 3) Rig Control AND CW keying work fine whe

First off, let me say that tonight I cannot reproduce the problem. What a shock :-) Why did I do a "Y" adapter. Because I already had a DB9-to-phono cable that worked. Rather than split off the DTR a

Isn't that what the AutoSaveCount entry in the [Configuration] section is for? There is another field called QsoWarningCount. I assume you should set QsoWarningCount to a larger number than AutoSaveC

Is there documentation somewhere that describes the proper way to reinstall writelog and keep all the settings the way they were before (assuming you have a backup disk with all of your data)? I mean

I don't know, but to be consistent the support for Icom 7800 should be a $1000 option :-) _______________________________________________ WriteLog mailing list WriteLog@contesting.com http://lists.co
