I've been using Writelog and a Soundblaster PCI128 card since 1999 with wonderful results. I've recommended this card to many others, and it's scored a perfect 7f on the sndbrdchk program. I've used
Is anyone else getting (or used to get) this pop-up error message when trying to record SSB messages on the fly? (Shift-Fx) I know that NI6T is and he went back to using 10.44. I'm now getting it and
Let me guess. You are a good, fast, touch-typist? I have the same problem. If you type a call quickly, and quickly spot it (I use ALT-F3), it won't get the end of the call. I don't know why. I poste
I just wanted to follow up with the progress (and solution) of my soundcard problems. I just want to be clear that I never thought it was a Writelog problem, but rather a Win XP and/or driver issue.
This is completely correct...it was the soundcard driver that was installed when I upgraded from Win2k to XP (and/or SP2). I have not received this error since finding the right PCI128 driver. Chad W
A 3rd, 4th, 5th, or even 30th station can be used, as long as: 1) Only two transmitted signals at once 2) Do not violate the band change rules 3) The submitted log is in a compliant format The KS9K/W

So, what if that station isn't a dupe? You now cleared the entry window, and will need to enter his call again to work him. Or are you saying that you wouldn't press this key unless you already know
You haven't had any replies, probably because no single keystroke exists to do what you're asking. Only kluduges. Try this one: Have a band map up, regardless of rig control. Work the first QSO. Dou

With one exception, the time you enter is how long WriteLog waits from the end of one transmission to the beginning of the next. The exception is if you are running CW on the old W5XD external keyer
That's because the feature is called "Timed CQ" in Writelog. Potato, Potatoe. You can find the feature by typing in Timed, for which "Timed Repeat CQ" topic will come up, or type in Auto, for which
I would like to (re) second this request. The band map is not the primary means of being notified of a new multiplier or new station. It is mostly helpful for S&Ping up or down the band. In addition
He said he "started to enter a Q". He didn't say anything about working (trasmitting) two stations at once. WL assigns a number as soon as you start typing in a call. You will also see this behavior
This is correct. There is NO band change rule for SS M/S. I can't speak for every top entry in SS M/S, but I bet the majority of the top 5 have more than one radio. And, like any other contest, you c
According to the ARRL 160M rules, the exchange for a DX QSO is only the signal report. You will see that if you empty the "SECT" field, it will score correctly. (Or I'm guessing it will, as that's w
