Hi Doug, I agree with your evaluation that the 3-el SteppIR with the 6m element is probably the way to go. I don't think you will suffer much degradation when comparing it to your current 5-element (

The only experience I have with STEPP-IRs on 6M is with a friends 2 element version, which gave reasonable results, that is it behaved like I expected a 2 element beam to behave. So I can't give you
