Hello all- I have a question concerning VHF yagi antennas. Can 6 and 2 meter antennas be interlaced on the same boom like some HF antennas are? I have a modest station and just a small roof tower so

You might want to take a look at the Cubex line of quads for VHF. I've been very pleased with the performance and weather resistance of my combinatation 6m and 2m beam (4-ele on 6m, 8-ele on 2m). For

Hi Jim, I think the long 6M element will get in the way of the 2M antenna. It will be roughly 3 half waves and just resonant enough to screw things up. The antenna would probably work but not optimal

Jim One good thing to look at is the Quads made by Cubex. The Orlando Amateur Radio Club just bought a King Bee III Triband Quad for 6M, 2M and 70Cm on the same boom for use by our VHF+ station at Fi

I would be concerned about 8 element quads. I love quads. My first real antenna for 20-10 was a 2 element Cubex quad. It worked great. I have used many wire quads on 40 meters and they also work grea

Tree I can't really explain it but I know that the Dual band (4 el 6M and 8el 2M) does work well. I'll let you know how the Triband unit works out after Field Day. I also would be interested in other

I'm not sure that I'm smarter than Tree, but here are some reasonably well-informed observations. I've modeled a lot of quads using good modeling software (NEC/Wires by K6STI). Many of the published
