The never-ending website fiasco. I have heard that the contractor had a 6-figure contract for the site. I had not heard that there was a concerted effort to write to directors about this else I would
Ah, the old "too complicated" meme. All you are doing is putting your signature on your log, i.e. giving your word that the log is accurate. Since your log is not on paper and since ink won't go thro
This is a fine idea and makes sense ... which means the brass pounders at HQ will never go for it. :-) I'm forwarding this to my Div Dir. Peter -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net | Travel by Tra
I don't think you're wrong - I've looked at the website and it's a mess. Never mind that many items are simply AWOL, the overall design is just bad. Must I click "read more" after I click on somethin
Bring up TQSL and edit your location. You will need to re-upload any QSOs that have the incorrect grid loc info. Doing so will simply update the info and will NOT create "zombies" in the LoTW DB. --
If you reupload and change the mode, you will create zombies (duplicate records that cannot be deleted). But HQ says that doesn't matter so, go for it! :-) Changing some of the items in a QSO record
Finally, VUCC via LoTW. Hurray! Now, I've got confirmations from these stations, but the op did not include the grid in their TQSL location configuration: 4B2S AA7A K0COM K5DNL K7MY K8DXR KE4YZN N4UP
Strike NE5S from the list. My neighbor Dave has added his grid to his uploads! :-) -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net | Travel by Train! _______________________________________________ VHFcontes
You need a certificate for every CALLSIGN you use, including callsigns with self-assigned designators, such as N5UWY/9. Each certificate can have one or more locations assigned to it. This is done vi
Almost. Assuming you've already signed up for LoTW, you'll need a CERTIFICATE for W1RT/R. Once you get that new certificate (no post card, HQ just mails your subsequent certs) and import it into TQSL
As near as I can figure it, the "Award Accounts" on the LoTW sites are only needed if you want to view them in proper context on the site. If you are going to submit for VUCC it will also, I believe,
I've never tried to sign a Cabrillo and upload. Before I got the hang of uploading through DXLab, I did manually sign some ADIFs. The difference is that there is nothing in the Cabrillo specification
Because QSO records in the Cabrillo spec are determined by the contest sponsor and the line is free-form. ADIF has a tag for every field making parsing simple. -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net
Fellow hams who were good enough to give me a match on LoTW but didn't get their grids included in TQSL. The list is getting shorter but I'll still only be at about 75 confirmed when these folks come
I implied it, but didn't say it straight out: These contacts were all on 6 m or 2m!! Peter -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net | Travel by Train! _______________________________________________ V
You need a CERTIFICATE for every callsign INCLUDING any self-assigned indicator, so yes, you need a cert for N3XUD *and* N3XUD/R. For each certificate, you need to configure one or more LOCATIONS, wh
Oooh. K8MR was also good for Ohio on 6, which was state #33 for that band. So double thanks! -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net | Travel by Train! _______________________________________________
Whatever you did, you seemed to have prevailed - thanks for confirming EN91! -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net | Travel by Train! _______________________________________________ VHFcontesting m
VHFers would do well to agree amongst ourselves that logs uploaded to LoTW have NO self-assigned indicators. This would be true without regard to how the station signs on the air or how the station w
Hey, look at that - he cited me! But I don't see his email address on the site, so ... To get to Maidenhead on a Garmin GPS V ... Push "Menu", select "Setup", select "Location", select "Location Form
