- hi all i have been designing a 2 el 20 meter yagi and wonder if anyone can give me some pointers on a gamma match. layout shows a radiation resistance of approx 35.8 ohms. i want to use 1/2 alum cond

- Until recently I've used gamma matches on all of my big Yagis. On 20M I used a 4 foot length of 1/2" diameter x 0.058" wall tubing for the Gamma rod. The capacitor was made from RG-217 (aka RG-14) co

- Simple. Just strip the shielding off the coax and shove the center conductor with the dielectric inside the 1/2 alum conduit. 'Capacitor' is adjusted by pulling the coax out (or further in) as needed

- All good ideas, but remember there is a definite relationship to DE diameter, Gamma diameter, spacing between the 2, ect. I have found you can use plastic tubing ( the clear stuff you can buy from Ho

- A gamma match that works great and that I used on a homemade 3 el yagi is to extend the center conductor and insulation right into the outer sleeve almost the full length. Adjust the slider strap bet
