I am going to put the following three yagis up on my Rohn 25 using a M2 2800 rotator. My 24 foot mast (2"OD)is too heavy (98 lb)at that length so I want to cut it off and use only that which is n

Your configuration and spacing sounds okay. For 25G, the rotator will ONLY mount in a taper-topped section or at a leg joint. A HAM IV will go in but you'd need to take out a diagonal in order to get

I like to have ~1/3 of the mast INSIDE the tower to minimize the bending moment applied to the upper portion of the tower. Some people cut diagonals to place a rotor inside R25. Another good position

A 2-3/4 mast won't fit through the tube of a 25G tapered section. The M2 web site doesn't give dimensions, but says a 2800 will fit inside 25G. Installation might be "interesting" however. One proble

Amen to that. This is particularly true because Rohn's ratings are for projected area, while most antenna manufacturers persist in quoting a more optimistic "effective area" number which must be mult

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This bring up a point I've pondered ... is the MAX spacing for Rohn 25G, between guys now 40' or is it 35'? Seems like I recall both spacings being shown in the various version

My two 120 ft R-25G towers are guyed every 30 feet. Don't have the catalog handy but maybe guy spacing is based on tower height. W0ETC On Tue, 15 Oct 2002 16:20:07 -0500 Billy Cox <aa4nu@ix.netcom.co

You are correct--that data was for a 40 foot tower with the guys at 35 feet. I misread the graph from the Rohn website, displayed in Acrobat and rotated 90 degrees. 73, Bob, N7XY
