This was the Day!! And, sure enough. Whoever had the computer infected, must have had all files written over by the "V" to shut down his/her abilty to send out any more e-ail with the big W32 V/ Why?

Jim, I never got one from you I just did a live update and got zilch. The last virus def is dated 5/1. Have you got something later than that?

You must go to the Reports page of Symantec AntiV. Then click on Downloads. Then you follow the instructions to do what they call "Intelligent Updater". No big deal; downloads some 3.25 mb of stuff.
