- To: <towertalk@contesting.com> I was just doing some rhombic modeling yesterday. I'm not sure what "350m in overall length" means, whether tip to tip or length of wire. If tip to tip, you are looking

- Rick, Your modeling parallels mine. Narrow primary beamwidth for a fixed antenna with many side lobes. The advantages appear to be two. a. Many fewer types of moving parts to wear out, and hence usua

- Hi Rick, What you say below is absolutely true, but it might get you strung up and lynched! This is a lot like insulting one's dear old favorite grandfather. It's just like the guy near Youngstown an

- Rick, I had a Rhombic up for several years when I had a large yard at my home in Orlando, FL. I won the right to put up an 80' crank-up tower in spite of the HO Covenants but deferred to my neighbors

- With the talk of rhombics I figured I'd try this question here. I'm looking for a fairly sharp high gain antenna for 6 meters mainly for F2 and Es. A few issues ago, there was an article in NCJ about

- To: <towertalk@contesting.com> A few years ago, a number of hams from the Frankford Radio Club and I visited the AT&T receiving station of WOO in Manahawkin, NJ. They have quite a number of rhombics

- Frank, Rhombics don't have to be terminated. If the far leg is open, it becomes bi-directional. If you terminate them try 600 to 800 ohms resistive. I had pretty good luck with mine on both 80 and 40
