For those of you that have rebuilt KT34s, what technique did you use to clean inside the clamps. I thought of buying a round file. Any other ideas? Also, do you recommend disassembling everything on

Hi Pete, We use several grades of steel wool and some small wire brushes on the KLMs. It can take some work, depending upon how bad the oxidation is, but the job gets done nicely. We loosen, remove,

Just finished rebuilding a KT34 about 2 months ago. I had disassembled the elements from the boom about five years ago so I decided to go ahead a tear it down the rest of the way due to the fact that

clean I found using some 400 grit Wet/Dry automotive sandpaper wrapped around a screwdriver worked great. A file may be too abrasive and seriously scratch the surface. have and L element everywhere
