You can climb the tower and retighten the bolts. They usually come lose after the first tightening so I usually (re)snug them before I raise the tower. If your rotator has a calibrate knob you can ju

The rotor is a yeasu dxa1000 so a realignment is not an option. Also I have a 2m ssb above it so it would be nice to have both pointing same direction. Either way, I will have to move the beam, but n

I've heard the Slip-Nott works pretty well. I have an Orion 2800 and pinning the mast voids the warranty. Not sure about the Yaesu though. Also their mast clamps are cast aluminim I believe and not s

I have a Yaesu G-1000 SDX, pinned at the mast, and it's held up great. In Alaska, 125 mph gusts didn't budge it/break it, and here in CO, it's withstood 89 mph gusts. Joe Hannigan - WDØM Pagos

Do you know for sure that it is the rotator-to-mast joint that has slipped? Seems like the boom to mast connection is a more likely culprit if your 2M is still pointing in the original direction. In

My 4 ele SteppIR regularly slips on the mast, and I have to recalibrate the AlfaSpid. It has probably made at least a half dozen complete revolutions in 4 years. I tried retightening the clamps and i

The subject line says that the beam is slipping on the mast and not in the rotator. If you install the Yaseu DXA1000 per the instructions, it will not slip without breaking something. I am not famili

I forgot to mention that usually there is a saddle between the mast and antenna mounting plate and the u-bolt squeezes everything together. It is important that the radius of the saddle and U-bolt ma
