- You can use something like an Ameritron remote switch (various configurations), and then drive it with a relay driver of some sort. I just built a bunch of RS232-8 relay interfaces from a $50 Vellema

- Mike, you're right. The switch was manufactured by Bird. I should have mentioned that together with the model number. The model number is somewhat obscured but looks like 74. There's a Navy number: S
